Floating candles

Floating candles make great centerpieces. Place a floating candle in a clear glass bowl or vase to make an extra special lighting effect. Add vase gems, stones, ice cubes, or sea shells to the bottom of the bowl for more colors. Try placing a stem orchid in the water or rose petals. Place a mirror underneath for more effect.

For beautiful floating candles get three to five open roses, a bowl, and floating candles (to match your containers). Fill the bowl with water using a pitcher. Then cut roses or other large open flowers so that the stems are less than one inch long. Float the flowers in the water. Place floating candles on the water. Light and enjoy. Large flowers that are large and open will work best for this arrangement.

Floating candles makes for a beautiful centerpiece at any reception, wedding or party. They can also greatly enhance an at-home date by increasing the romantic atmosphere.
