Candles
Candles are one of the most enjoyable and affordable luxury item available to the decorator. They are magical and enchanting. They create an inviting warmth and ambiance. One can infuse the home with fragrance and color and also bring a special sense of tranquility and well-being.
Basically, a candle is primarily wax and a wick. They may also contain fragrances, colorants, and minor additives. Candle types are tapers, pillars, votives, jar candles, gels, tealights, outdoor, and novelty. Each serves its own purpose in decorating ideas for the home.
When one lights a candle, the heat of the flame melts the wax nearest the wick. The liquid wax is then drawn into the wick. The heat from the flame vaporizes the liquid wax to produce water vapor and carbon dioxide. Thus, candles give off a very small amount of heat and very little soot.
